Message from Editor in Chief

We are very pleased to announce the start of a new journal, Meiji Journal of Political Science and Economics (MJPSE) online. The inaugural issue includes contributions made by such world prominent scholars as Dr. Akira Iriye, Charles Warren Research Professor of American History Emeritus, Harvard University, Dr. Geoffrey Colin Harcourt, Emeritus Reader in the History of Economic Theory, University of Cambridge, and Dr. Tom Christensen, Professor of Political Science, University of Oslo.

This online journal intends to provide a worldwide online community for researchers in such diverse areas as political science, public administration and governance, sociology, economics, history, and cultural studies, all of which have become essential and integral parts of our knowledge to understand rapidly changing societies all over the world in this globalized age.

We sincerely hope that the MJPSE will become an active academic forum of English language offered by a Japanese institution, providing scholars of different academic backgrounds with access to current works in each field of study, and facilitating research and scholarship. We are looking forward to your active participation in this global forum.
